As public school professionals, we have years of professional development in California educational codes and eligibility requirements, which allows for the development of recommendations that are appropriate for the educational setting based on access to the curriculum.
Student Assessments
All psychoeducational assessments utilize a comprehensive, high quality, trans-disciplinary approach where each student is evaluated across disciplines in all areas of concern. These include:
- Pre-school (0-5 years) speech/language, pre-academic and psychological developmental assessments
- School-age (5-22 years) comprehensive psychoeducational assessments identifying the 13 areas of disability per IDEA (2011)
- Speech/Language assessments including expressive/receptive language, pragmatics, functional communication, oral-motor, fluency, voice, and articulation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Actual classroom performance data collection (teacher input, observations, classwork, etc.) reviewed
- Single disciplinary assessments available in all the above areas
Other Services
- Reports provided to districts prior to the IEP and pre-IEP staffing opportunities available for review.
- IEEs will be completed based on a mutually agreed upon timeline with the school district. Expedited services are also available.
- Year round (off-track and summer) services are available.
- Services will be conducted within the guidelines of the school district’s contract.
